Gandhi Talks: This silent dark comedy headlined by Vijay Sethupathi and others will be out in six languages

Makers of Gandhi Talks had earlier announced that the multi-starrer movie went on floors. They have now unveiled a promo video featuring its lead actors Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth Jadhav. Billed as a silent dark comedy flick, the project will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

The promo video released by makers offer a glimpse into the project's plot, albeit they don't give away much about its story. It revolves around four people belonging to different financial backgrounds. How money changes their lives in unexpected ways forms the major crux of the story.

Kishor P Belekar has directed Gandhi Talks while Zee Studios, Kyooriyus and Moviemill have jointly bankrolled the project. AR Rahman has scored music for the movie for which Ashish Mhatre is the editor. This is the second time Arvind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari and Vijay Sethupathi have come together after Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

Interestingly, the Tamil gangster drama which was released in 2018, too, had music by Rahman. Gandhi Talkies has art direction and cinematography handled by Durgaprasad Mahapatra and Karan Rawat respectively. The movie will have a theatrical release in 2023.

Its first look poster was released more than a year ago on Vijay Sethupathi's birthday. Gandhi Talks will touch upon several ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi, and hence, the team unveiled its first promo video on the birthday of the Father of the Nation.

Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Maamanithan, has Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai coming up next in November. He has a few Hindi projects awaiting release, including Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Santosh Sivan's Mumbaikar.
