After the humongous response to first single Chilla Chilla from Thunivu, makers had unveiled second single Kasethan Kadavulada a few days ago. The team is now gearing up to release the third single which has been titled Gangstaa. Fans of Ajith are excited to the core after music director Ghibran has revealed the title.
Unlike the first two songs which had lyrics penned by Vaisagh, Viveka has written for this track which is expected to be a peppy number. The release date announcement is yet to be made by the team.
Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, has only three songs. Billed as an action drama, the film produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios is releasing on January 12. This is the first time Ghibran has composed for an Ajith-starrer. The musician, however, was in charge of the background score for the team's previous outing Valimai.
Twitter was abuzz when Manju Warrier's voice was missing from Kasethan Kadavulada song. But the actress quickly responded from her social media page to clarify that her voice would be included in the original video song. The actress, who plays a crucial role in the project, also added that she loved trolls and memes related to the absence of her voice in the song.
The advance booking for Thunivu has begun in a few locations in the US. The film is expected to open big though it is releasing along with Varisu on the same day. Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the movie which will be distributed by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies across Tamil Nadu.
Lyca Productions has acquired the project's overseas theatrical rights. The production house is bankrolling Ajith's next to be helmed by Vignesh Shivan.
