It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Trisha is riding on a career high. The actress is basking in the success of her recent outing, Ponniyin Selvan 2 and is also part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's much-awaited action entertainer with Thalapathy Vijay, Leo. In the meantime, a slew of films starring the actress are lying in the cans for a while.

Garjanai


The Tamil remake of the 2015 Hindi thriller NH10, has Trisha in an action-packed avatar. The trailer of the film, which was released by her '96' co-star Vijay Sethupathi, has Trisha on the run from a bunch of menacing men. The star cast includes Amit Bhargav, Vadivukkarasi, Sriranjini and Vamsikrishna to name a few.

Sathuranga Vettai 2


Sathuranga Vettai 2 directed by NV Nirmal Kumar has been lying in the cans for a while now. The story for the film has been penned by Thunivu director H Vinoth, who had made his directorial debut with Sathuranga Vettai. Sathuranga Vettai 2 marks Trisha's maiden collaboration with Arvind Swamy. The release has been held due to financial issues.

Untitled film with Simran
When the news about Trisha teaming up with Simran was revealed, fans couldn't be more excited. Though the duo had worked together in Petta, they didn't have any combinations. The film, directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan has Trisha and Simran playing sisters. It is to be noted that Trisha made her first appearance onscreen in an uncredited role as Simran's friend in Jodi (1999).

Ram
After Hey Jude, Trisha is all set to be seen in her next Malayalam outing, the action thriller Ram. Trisha has teamed up with Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal for the film, which is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film was delayed due to the pandemic and will be released in two parts.

The Road

Debutant director Arun Vaseegaran's The Road, which stars Trisha in the lead, is said to be based on real-life incidents. Though the makers dropped the making video from the film on the actress's birthday today, there has been no other update from the team for a while now.

Brinda


Trisha is all set to take the plunge into the OTT space with Brinda, which is directed by Surya Vangala. The investigative thriller series has been made in Telugu and will be dubbed in a few other languages. Though the show was announced in 2021 and Trisha had revealed that she had wrapped up her portions last year, the series is yet to stream on Sony LIV.

1818
Trisha had signed yet another project titled 1818, which was said to revolve around 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. The film, helmed by Rithun Sagar, was supposed to have Brahmanandam and Ramesh Thilak. 1818 was billed as a bilingual (Tamil and Telugu), but there has been no further update about the film.
