It is known that Vijay Sethupathi and Sundeep Kishan are teaming up for Ranjit Jeyakodi's action flick, Michael. Billed as a pan Indian movie, the makers of the project which is expected to release in five languages, have now come up with a new update for cinephiles. None other than filmmaker Gautham Menon has been roped in to play the antagonist in the film.
An excited Sundeep took to Twitter to share the excitement over the same and said he is looking forward to learn from the director. He tweeted, "Take pleasure in welcoming my Guru & Ace Director @MenonGautham as the Antagonist in the world of @MichaelTheFilm. Looking forward to learning from you once again sir (sic)."
On the other hand, Ranjit welcomed Gautham by tweeting the poster of a chained hands soaked in blood and came up with a caption in Tamil, the translated version of which reads, "A wise man once said, 'Humans by nature aren't innocent creatures which love to live in peace. They are shrewd animals which are ready to pounce on others when attacked."
Earlier, Gautham Menon had joined hands with Sundeep as the former was the producer of Naragasooran, which starred the latter as one of the leads. Directed by Karthick Naren, the movie is yet to see the light of the day.
Ranjit's Puriyaatha Puthir (streaming on Netflix), which released in 2017, had Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role. The director's last outing was Harish Kalyan-starrer Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). Vijay Sethupathi has Kadaisi Vivasayi ready for release, while Gautham has Silambarasan-starrer Venthu Thaninthathu Kaadu, the shooting of which is currently underway.
