Gautham Menon's latest project, Silambarasan-starrer Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, is expected to hit the screens in May. The movie's producer Ishari K Ganesh said in an interview recently that the makers have been planning it as a summer release. The director's Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, too, might release soon. There are reports that the thriller might skip theatrical release.
But what is more exciting is the news doing the rounds regarding the release of his long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram. The Vikram-starrer's teaser was unveiled five years ago, leaving his fans quite excited. However, there haven't been any major updates on the film since then.
A year and a half ago, the makers came up with a video song, Oru Manam, after which fans of Vikram pinned high hopes on the film's release. But financial issues curbed the project's release once again. Now, it is heard that the movie is likely to have a theatrical release in June.
Vikram, who started dubbing for his portions recently, is expected to complete it soon. An announcement on the film's release is also likely to happen soon. Jomon T John and Harris Jayaraj have handled cinematography and music direction respectively for Dhruva Natchathiram. Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhika Sarathkumar and Parthiban among others essay important roles in the action flick.
Vikram's Cobra is also likely to hit the screens on May 26. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu had revealed the plan a few days ago through his social media page. Mahaan, which was released on Amazon Prime Video, was his first release this year.
The makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan had recently announced that the multi-starrer magnum opus will release on September 30. So, if everything goes well, the actor will have four releases in 2022.
