Ghaati is Anushka Shetty's new film that was made on a massive budget but ended as a big flop at the box office. We at OTTplay have already revealed that Amazon Prime Video bagged the digital rights for a fancy price. Now that the action drama is almost out of theaters, all eyes are on its OTT release.

Generally, big-ticket films release on OTT a month after their theatrical run. But the latest buzz in film circles is that Ghaati might arrive on Amazon Prime Video within a month of release, possibly by the end of September 2025.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film tells the story of drug peddlers played by Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu. The routine story and bland narration failed to impress audiences, and the film was labeled a flop.
The only solace was Chaitanya Rao of Mayasabha fame, whose performance as the main villain won accolades from both media and viewers. The routine story and the lack of emotional highs in the film went against Ghaati big time.

For Krish, who has faced a string of flops and even backed out of Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Pawan Kalyan, this is another blow. He needs to prove himself with a strong comeback and is yet to announce his next after Ghaati and we need to see what kind of a film he makes next.
