Release Date

Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer Ghoomer is the upcoming sports drama film, which is all set to hit cinemas on August 18 in cinemas.

Plot

The film follows the tale of an aspiring cricketer, played by Saiyami, who loses her arm in an accident as well as all hopes to be a sportsperson. However, Abhishek enters her life as a coach to teach the unconventional way of bowling and that too with one arm.

Trailer

The official trailer of the film was released last week, which sees Saiyami garnering praise from all over for her immense talent in cricket, however, soon after an unfortunate accident she becomes bedridden. After some time, she rises to the occasion and requests a yesteryear player to school her for bowling with just one hand. The video also showcases Saiyami's love angle in the film.

Cast

Along with Saiyami and Abhishek, the sports drama film also features Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in key roles and Amitabh Bachchan as himself in a special cameo appearance. 

Director and Producers

Apart from directing, filmmaker R Balki has also penned the film alongside Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani. Meanwhile, Ghoomer is bankrolled by Hope Film Makers, Abhishek A Bachchan and WG CDR Ramesh Pulapaka (RETD).

Lately, films like Gadar 2 and OMG 2 have been in significant amounts of controversies, however, there have been no backlashes or controversies about Ghoomer.
