We had earlier reported that fans of Karunada Chakravarthy Shivarajkumar had done a special song for his upcoming film Ghost, which the team had taken note of. Dubbed the Ghost fanthem, the song, composed and sung by Agastya Raag, who is supported on vocals by Kalyan Manjunath , Yashraj Solomon, Karthik Sambhapur, Vinay K N and Sathwik Sathish is now out with a lyrical video that includes fleeting glimpses from the making of Ghost, as well as images of Shivarajkumar through the years, with his wife and siblings, among others.

Written by Prasanna VM, who serves as dialogue writer on Ghost, the fanthem is a perfect tribute to the Century Star. Although the song was released at a public event in Hospete earlier today, it’s made its way to online platforms only moments ago and has been well received. And what makes it even better is that team Ghost is set to use the fanthem when the end credits run. Director MG Srinivas had earlier told OTTplay that he was contemplating using it, and today, producer Sandesh Nagaraj confirmed the development. A fitting end to this effort.

Ghost, meanwhile is only a week away from hitting screens. It will be in theatres on October 19, for the Dasara festivities, a decision that the team took based on the confidence that they have in the content of the film and that the Kannada film industry has, for too long, been giving away major festival dates to movies from across the border. This time around, Srinivas wants a chunk of that festival market, given that there are six holidays and that audiences will head out to watch a few films. The film is clashing with biggies like Tiger Nageswara Rao, Leo, Bhagavanth Kesari and Ganpath, across languages.
