For starters, Srini, we are told, will present the trailer of Ghost this weekend. October 1, Sunday, is the chosen date as of now, which will be followed by a promotional tour of the state, with events in key cities. The Sandesh Nagaraj produced film is releasing in other languages as well, so the team will also look at travelling to Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Mumbai also in the coming days. Srini is expected to make formal announcements shortly.

Ghost, according to the filmmaker, is a two-part venture, with the first in theatres on October 19. It will be the first film in the director’s proposed Srinivas Cinematic Universe, which will combine the Ghost and Birbal franchises, with a bunch of movies planned for the next 10-15 years. Srini’s character from the Birbal franchise will be seen in Ghost, with the filmmaker tweeting that it will be more than just one scene. The story, he had said, is based on a real incident that occurred in Chennai , with the narrative transpiring in a 48-hour timeframe. Most of this will take place in a prison, with only about 20% of the film dedicated to Shivarajkumar’s gangster avatar.
