Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu took a moment on Monday to remember his cousin, Bhavatharini, who recently passed away . He shared a poignant picture of himself tightly embracing her along with a heartfelt note, "Happy bday my thangachi #bhavatharini we all know u r in a better, happier place. MISS U so much."

Bhavatharini's untimely demise leaves a huge void in Tamil cinema

Following in the footsteps of her father, the legendary music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, Bhavatharini made a significant mark for herself in the music industry. Starting her career as a playback singer, she later carved a niche for herself as a composer.

Bhavatharini succumbed to cancer in January this year. She was undergoing Ayurvedic treatment for cancer in Sri Lanka when she passed away. Her mortal remains were flown back to India and laid to rest in her native Theni district, Tamil Nadu.

Her untimely death sent shockwaves across the industry, leaving a significant void in the Tamil music scene.

Venkat Prabhu's The Greatest Of All Time

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu is currently busy shooting his upcoming movie, The Greatest Of All Time. Featuring Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, the movie's production is progressing briskly.

Billed a sci-fi drama, speculations are circulating about the film being a remake of the Hollywood movie Gemini Man, directed by Ang Lee. Although the filmmakers have not officially addressed the speculation, the first-look posters revealing Vijay in a dual role have fueled the rumours.

Similar to Will Smith's characters in Gemini Man, The Greatest Of All Time showcases Vijay in both younger and older versions. The storyline of the Hollywood movie revolves around the challenges faced by a retired assassin haunted by a cloned younger version of himself.

The movie boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Prabhudeva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prasanth, Laila, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh.

The Greatest Of All Time is anticipated to hit cinemas later this year. It is a very important film as it's considered to be one of the last films in Vijay's career. Vijay has announced that after completing Thalapathy 69, he will dedicate his full time to politics.
