Six months after splitting from her ex-partner Joe Manganiello, the 51-year-old actress revealed an update on her romantic life.

Sofia Vergara on rediscovering love after divorce

Sofia revealed all about her dating and personal lives as she sat down with PEOPLE. When asked if she is still using dating apps after splitting from her ex, Sofia Vergara replied, "No, I wish." She added, “I’m bad with technology, so I’m sure I would click on the wrong ones. I’m open to having fun and meeting people,” she continued, adding, “It’s only been six months.”

The actress highlighted her connection to her Latin heritage by stating that it's weird because she has now lived longer in the United States than she did in her country, Colombia. "But I’m still very Latin. I work out to Latin music. In my car, it’s Latin music. My close friends are either my cousins or the ones I met at kindergarten," she added.

"So now I want a husband!", she said. Then she clarified, saying, "No, I don't need a husband; I want one." She clarified even more saying, "It doesn't even have to be a husband, just a partner."

The reason behind Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara's separation

After seven years of marriage, Sofia Vergara revealed in a Daily Mail interview that she and Joe Manganiello couldn't agree on how to grow their family. This led to their divorce. She said, “Joe was four years younger than me, and he’d never had kids.” For those who don't know, the Modern Family actress gave birth to her son, Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, at the age of 19, and the two of them share a son, Joe Gonzalez, who is now 32 years old.

The actress said, "He decided he wanted kids and I didn’t want them. It was like: ‘Imagine, when this child would be 10 years old, I’ll be 60-something. That’s a grandma!’"
