The era of film re-releases has been unstoppable! A lot of Hindi films across genres made a comeback to theatres in the initial months of the year. Rockstar, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Sanam Teri Kasam, and Laila Majnu received a thunderous response upon re-release. The latest update is that another film is eyeing a re-release in cinema halls. Gulshan Devaiah's 2015 film Hunterrr might hit the big screen again this year. It will also complete 10 years on March 20.
Gulshan Devaiah's Hunterrr to make a comeback?
According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers of Hunterrr are planning to re-release the movie on its 10th anniversary. A source mentioned that the movie has a recall because of its subject, performances, and the ensemble star cast.
"Once the plan is confirmed, the makers will look for an apt release date. It now remains to be seen if it arrives this Friday – March 20 – or on a later date," a source told the entertainment portal. Other than that, an industry insider spoke about a few A-rated movies that have re-released in theatres.
Revealing how the Gulshan Devaiah-starrer stands out in the genre, the insider added, "Moreover, Hunterrr stands out from these adult films as it’s a s** comedy. In fact, this genre hasn’t produced any significant film in a long time and there’s an audience for it. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if Hunterrr also becomes a sleeper re-release success."

Written and directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, Hunterrr, an adult comedy film, featured Gulshan along with Radhika Apte and Sai Tamhankar. The actor played the role of Mandar Ponkhse in the film. On the other hand, Radhika essayed the role of Tripti Gokhale and Sai was seen as Jyotsna Surve.
Produced by Tailormade Films and Phantom Films, Hunterrr was theatrically released on March 20, 2015. The movie is available for streaming on ShemarooMe and OTTplay Premium.
