A release date has also been confirmed with the video which shows a glimpse into the lead characters and the plot. The thriller, which stars Dileesh Pothan and Bibin George in pivotal roles, is set to hit the big screen on September 27.
A group of police officers search for evidence of a crime at the start of the one minute and eleven second video. Before it opens in theatres, a trailer is anticipated in the upcoming days.
Amal K Joby is the film's director. He is the co-writer of the screenplay of K Madhu's Banking Hours 10 to 4. "A brutal criminal beyond the law" is Gumasthan's tagline, which also describes the film as a legal drama. The film's screenplay was written by Riyaz Izmath. Azees Nedumangad, Shaju Sreedhar, Alexander Prasanth, Jais Jose, Bindu Sajeev, Sminu Shijo, Neema Mathew, and Rony David Raj also feature in supporting roles. Muzafir Film Company has bankrolled Gumasthan. For the film, Stephan Devassy composed the original soundtrack and score.
If released on the said date, the thriller will be running theatres along with Mathew Thomas-starrer Cup, which is a sports drama centered on the life of 16-year-old Nidhin from Vellathuval village, who aspires to be a professional badminton player. Other upcoming Malayalam releases in September includes Biju Menon’s Kadha Innuvare and Suraj Venjaramoodu-starrer Thekku Vadakku.
