Guns & Gulaabs trailer launch: Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan and Gulshan Devaiah reveal what they truly miss from the 90s era

The most-iconic pair of actors, Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao, and Gourav Adarsh, promise to soon win your heart via their upcoming project, Guns & Gulaabs.

At the project’s trailer launch event held in Delhi today, the lead actors of the upcoming series revealed what they truly miss from the 90s era. For those who don't know, Guns & Gulaabs is set in the early ’90s in a town called Gulaabganj. The series is an ode to Bollywood in the '90s. 

At first, popular actor Rajkummar Rao said, “1990s era was just great! I miss writing letters when mobiles were non-existent in our society. Only a landline facility was available. Even if I had to talk to a girl, I used to call up another girl to arrange a meeting...so, those small things mattered. I loved being with friends. Watching a movie at the theatre was like a family outing in those days. People used to talk more in person than on social media platforms these days. I miss that form of human interaction.”

Continuing the nostalgic outpour, the lead actor of the upcoming series, Dulquer Salmaan, said, “I feel it was a more carefree time. There was more physical or one-to-one interaction. There was a lot of effort one used to put into relationships to make it work. I loved meeting my friends and planning an outing with them. If I used to like a girl, I used to make an effort and write a note for her. During vacations, there was so much to do, like for example, I loved accessing my family photo albums and spending quality time with family. I think that’s what I miss the most.”

Adding up, actor Gulshan said, “Mujhe school jaana accha nahi lagta tha. But I used to love travelling on my school bus. I used to love gazing outside the window of my bus and viewing the world with my lens. My school was 20 kms away from my home, so I took almost 45 minutes to travel every day. I miss those days.”

Raj & DK's Guns and Gulaabs, starring Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, and Gulshan Devaiah, premieres on Netflix on August 18.
