GV Prakash, who was last seen in Vanakkam Da Mappilei (streaming on Sun NXT), is gearing up for the release of Bachelor, which is hitting the screens this Friday. At the press meet of the movie which was held the other day, the musician-actor spoke briefly about the film and his association with the project.

According to him, Bachelor will be a modern take on strong man-woman relationship. He said, "Filmmakers like Sridhar, Mani Ratnam and Selvaraghavan had depicted man-woman relationships and conflicts interestingly on screen. Our film will be the latest addition to the list."

He added that Bachelor is a lot more than a fun-filled rom-com. "The movie touches upon what love means for this generation's couples. It isn't preachy and have depicted the grey shades in all characters. The positive attitude as well as aggression in us have been portrayed intriguingly by the director," he noted.

GV Prakash also said that he had to tweak his regular body language for the lead character he played in the film. The debutant filmmaker Sathish Selvakumar, he said, has ensured to bring an identity for himself, thanks to the manner in which story has been presented.

One of the highlights of the movie, GV said, will be the different Coimbatore dialect he has used for his character. "Many people have explored the various Madurai dialects in Tamil films. In Bachelor, we have attempted a new-age dialect spoke by people of Coimbatore," he pointed out.

Bagavathi Perumal and Munishkanth among others play pivotal roles in the film which has debutant Divyabharathi playing the female lead. Theni Eswar and San Lokesh have cranked the camera and handled editing for the film respectively. GV himself has composed one song while the other tracks are set to tunes by Siddhu Kumar, Dhibu Ninan Thomas and AH Kaasif.
