The third single from Darling Krishna’s upcoming film Sugar Factory was released today as a lyrical video. Composed by Kabir Rafi, the song has been sung by Armaan Malik, whose rendition is what has fans going ga-ga over the number. Sugar Factory is a romantic drama revolving around two individuals who do not believe in the concept of marriage, who end up in a relationship. Krishna is paired with Sonal Monteiro, but the film also stars two more lovely ladies - Shilpa Shetty and Advithi Shetty. Whether or not they are also romantic interests is something that will become clear only when the film releases in theatres on November 24. At the moment, Sugar Factory is one of three Kannada films lined up to release on that day, including Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye and Bad Manners.
Sugar Factory is among the many romantic dramas that Darling Krishna signed up for after the success of his directorial Love Mocktail. The actor, though, has not had great success with this choice of films and genre, which OTTplay had addressed with him. But he had insisted that the reason he chooses to do romantic comedies is because he believes such films have repeat value, as against thrillers, where, one the mystery is unravelled, there is nothing to look forward to. More recently, though, during the promotions of his last release, Kousalya Supraja Rama, Krishna had said that he was looking at breaking out of the genre, but was having trouble finding the right script.

Subsequently, the actor signed up for a pre-Independence era historical, which will be a two-part film that will also be Krishna’s first pan-India project. Called Halagali, the film will be set in 1857, and will follow the great escapades of a hunter community that successfully defeated the British. Krishna, we hear, is currently prepping for the role.
