Hansika's next with Kannan titled Gandhari. First look, release date and dual characters; details inside

Hansika, who has more than half-a-dozen films in her kitty, recently got hitched to Sohail Khaturiya in a dream wedding, leaving her fans excited. She has had only one release this year; the long-pending thriller flick Maha directed by UR Jameel. It was also her first outing after the pandemic.

The actress has been working for a project under Kannan's direction. The team unveiled the movie's first look, release date and title now. Hansika looks ferocious in the first look poster of the film which has been titled Gandhari. Billed as a horror flick, the female-centric movie will have the actress essaying dual roles for the first time.

Kannan himself has bankrolled the film which will be released on February 24. Balasubramaniem has cranked the camera for Gandhari which has music by LV Muthu Ganesh and stunt choreography by Stunt Silva. Producer G Dhananjayan has penned the screenplay for the project which has story by MA Tholkappiyan.

Jijendra and Parthipan have handled editing and art direction respectively for the movie which has dialogues written by Srini Selvaraj. Hansika has Partner, Gaurdian and Rowdy Baby in her kitty among Tamil projects. This is in addition to the series My3 which is likely to be dropped on Disney+ Hotstar in 2023.

Kannan, on the other hand, is gearing up to the release of The Great Indian Kitchen, which is hitting the screens on December 29. The movie, which was completed a while ago, stars Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead. 

Film lovers are eager to know how the official remake of the acclaimed Malayalam movie would perform in Tamil Nadu. The director has Kasethan Kadavulada, too, coming up.
