With Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday, several filmmakers across industries in India, took to social media to give updates on their upcoming films, which interestingly revolve around Hindu deities.

Prasanth Varma confirms title of Teja Sajja’s Hanu Man sequel

In the latest, director Prasanth Varma who is currently basking in the success of his film Hanu Man, announced the next instalment from his cinematic universe. Titled Jai Hanuman, he released a new poster of the film, along with a photo of him holding the script book, as he takes the blessings of the Hindu deity.

"With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself!" he wrote and added that the pre-production works of the film have begun. Hanu Man, which released for the occasion of Sankranthi, proved to be a box office hit, and features an ensemble star cast, including Teja Sajja, Amrita Aiyer, Vijay Rai, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, among others.

First poster of Shree Ram, Jai Hanuman revealed

Meanwhile, the first poster from the upcoming multi-lingual film Shree Ram, Jai Hanuman, was released by Suresh Arts, on Monday. Set to release in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, and English, the film is helmed by Avadhoota and backed by KA Suresh. The poster, tinted in shades of orange and red, features a straight profile of Hanuman, as we see Ram with his bow and arrow in a side profile. The makers are yet to announce the cast and crew of the film.

Makers release first look poster of Unni Mukundan’s Jai Ganesh

On the other hand, actor Unni Mukundan, predominantly seen in Malayalam films, released the first look of his upcoming film Jai Ganesh. The poster shows the actor sitting in a wheelchair against the backdrop of a young and strong man, stylised like a comic book drawing.

Jai Ganesh is helmed by Ranjith Sankar and will hit the theatres on April 11. The film is in the final stages of post-production and stars Mahima Nambiar, Hareesh Peradi and Ravindra Vijay, among others.
