HanuMan sequels will have the biggest superstars from Indian cinema, reveals Prasanth Varma

Filmmaker Prasanth Varma expressed his overwhelming gratitude for the love received by his latest film, HanuMan, following its theatrical release this year. He also noted that the film garnered a larger audience upon its streaming debut, especially resonating with children.

"Parents usually discourage children from watching television. However, when kids watch HanuMan on streaming platforms, they feel happy and permit it. Many parents have selected HanuMan as their children's first film, and I feel very privileged," said Prasanth at an event commemorating HanuMan's 100-day run in cinemas.

After exceeding expectations with its box office performance, HanuMan made its streaming on ZEE5. And it's also available on OTTplay Premium .

Prasanth noted that he is now busy with the pre-production work of several sequels to HanuMan. He shared his ambitious plans to expand the world of HanuMan and create his own cinematic universe, which he has dubbed the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe.

"I haven't done a lot of films in this universe; HanuMan was my first film. . I intend to dedicate the next 20 years to this franchise. I am deeply committed to all the love you have showered upon me," he remarked.

He revealed that all characters that survived in the climax of HanuMan will have a reoccurring role in all the upcoming sequels of HanuMan.

"We will be simultaneously shooting four films. Additionally, other directors are contributing to the development of films within this universe. Moving forward, we will introduce new actors, including some of the biggest superstars from across the Indian film industry. Many of these stars were impressed by the movie and have expressed their eagerness to join this cinematic universe. We are adapting the scripts to align with their star images. The universe will provide a platform for emerging talents," he explained.
