Happy Birthday Nani: Here is an intriguing glimpse of Nani as Surya from Saripodhaa Sanivaaram

We had earlier reported that actor Nani will be starring in the upcoming Telugu film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and an update on the film will be arriving to celebrate the actor’s birthday on Saturday. Keeping in line with this, the makers of the film took to social media to share the glimpse.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is backed by DVV Entertainment, which produced RRR and is also backing Pawan Kalyan-starrer OG. Actor Priyanka Arul Mohan, who was last seen in the Tamil film Captain Miller, will be playing the female lead in the film.

The one-minute and 25-second teaser begins with the voiceover talking about rage and how it has different forms. While each person shows it in a different way, the protagonist of a film shows it in a methodical and meticulous way, and more importantly, one day a week. We are also shown Nani showing his rage by bashing a few people and he is named Surya, who shows his real self on Saturday. The glimpse ends with SJ Suryah saying, "Happy Birthday, brother," while he is seen wearing a policeman's uniform.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is directed by filmmaker Vivek Athreya, marking his second collaboration with Nani after Ante Sundaraniki. The superhero action drama also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, with SJ Suryah as the villain. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix for a fancy price. The film will release on August 29.

Nani locks in promising projects

Nani has been experimenting with film genres and characters through his filmography in recent times. In 2023, he appeared in the rural action drama Dasara, co-starring Keerthy Suresh and the romantic family drama Hi Nanna with Mrunal Thakur.

Nani, who gave back-to-back hits in 2023 with Dasara and Hi Nanna, has proved to be one of the bankable starts in the Telugu film industry. The actor is expected to team up with director Venu Yeldandi, who made the emotional hit Balagam last year. Also, Nani has signed a film with Sujeeth of Saaho and OG fame. Interestingly, Nani has chosen a varied genre for both of his films. The actor’s film with Sujeeth is an action drama and the film with Venu Yeldandi is a family drama.
