After Hi Nanna, Nani will be seen in the action drama Saripodha Sanivaaram
Nani, whose fan base is expanding with every film, thanks to his consistency over the span of 15 years, will get a wide release for Hi Nanna across all South Indian languages and Hindi. The star feels the strategy to release his films in multiple languages isn’t merely to make more money but to make Telugu cinema more accessible to a wider audience, ensuring good quality dubbing.
While promoting Hi Nanna recently, he was asked about his film that he wants to be remade differently. “May be Paisa. I still want it to be directed by Krishna Vamsi, but to be treated in a different way,” Nani said. Paisa was one of the actor’s films in his early years, that got severely delayed. Catherine Tresa and Sidhika Sharma played the female leads in the action drama.
What would be the top 3 films in his career? “Jersey, Dasara and Hi Nanna,” the actor said. Did he reveal Hi Nanna merely to promote the film or did he genuinely mean it? We’ll know more about it soon. As of now, Nani has committed to two films after Hi Nanna - Saripodha Sanivaaram, directed by Vivek Athreya and Hit 3, to be directed by Sailesh Kolanu.
Saripodha Sanivaaram has him reuniting with Priyanka Mohan after Gang Leader and the shoot was formally launched recently. Sai Kumar, SJ Suryah too play crucial roles in the film produced by DVV Entertainment, which has music by Jakes Bejoy. Hit 3, the third instalment of the crime thriller franchise, will have Nani playing a cop. A promo of his role was included in Hit 2 last year.
Reportedly, the ‘Natural Star’ has okayed a film with Don director Sibi Chakravarthy too. Rumours also suggested that he was offered a role in Rajinikanth’s next with TJ Gnanavel too. The character ultimately went to Rana Daggubati.
