Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened to superb collections at the box office. After witnessing the Day 1 numbers, many believed that Pawan Kalyan’s film would rake in big numbers. However, that did not happen, as negative word of mouth and trolling took over social media. This created a dent in occupancy, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu saw a decline in collections on Day 2.
But as the weekend kicked in, the film saw a steep rise in footfalls on Saturday, and things escalated further on Sunday, with the period drama making ₹12 crore net India-wide — a decent number considering the mixed word of mouth.
However, the real test for the film begins today, as the weekdays have started. The film needs to earn big to enter the safe zone; otherwise, the makers could face massive losses. So far, the film has crossed just over ₹150 crore gross, but that’s not enough.

Producer A.M. Rathnam is not officially announcing the collections and is instead promoting the film aggressively. He, along with the film’s heroine, is visiting theaters and surprising audiences.
When it comes to U.S. collections, Hari Hara Veera Mallu has just crossed the $1 million mark, which is underwhelming — especially since such numbers are usually achieved with premieres alone. The OTT rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a massive price, and sources say the film will be available on streaming within a month of its release.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is the subpar VFX, which has become a topic of ridicule on social media. Fans were disappointed, and some scenes are being widely trolled online.
Krish was originally supposed to direct the film and had started shooting, but due to creative differences, he walked out. Later, the producer’s son, Jyothi Krishna, completed the project. This did not sit well with audiences, as the first half of the film is very good, but the second half failed to meet expectations.

So far, the collections have been decent to good, but the film will face its real challenge on this crucial Monday. We’ll have to wait and see if this period drama can pass the weekday test. Stay tuned for more updates.
