Harish Kalyan, Athulya Ravi join hands for an underworld-based action drama

Harish Kalyan and Athulya Ravi, who enjoy good following among young Tamil movie buffs, are teaming up for the first time in a film which will have Shanmugam Muthuswamy at the helm. Billed as an action flick, which also has romance as a pivotal element in it, the film's story has an underworld backdrop. 

According to a report in TOI, the untitled movie, which has been officially launched today, will commence its shooting from the last week of December. Shanmugam Muthuswamy has earlier made GV Prakash-starrer Adangathey, which is yet to see the light of the day.

The movie, according to its makers, will touch upon a relevant topic which is relatable to every common man. Apparently, Shanmugam is said to have spent around six years for researching about the subject to come up with the script. This is the first time Harish will be seen doing an action-oriented role. 

The director decided to cast him in the role of a gangster after watching his films like Dharala Prabhu (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Oh Manapenne (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). 

Athulya plays a lawyer in the movie, who is known for her connections with the underworld. The romantic portions between these two characters are said to be one of the highlights of the project. Yogi Babu, director Ameer and Karunaas will also be playing important characters in the movie. 

It is heard that the team will announce the actor's name who plays the antagonist in the film later. D Imman composes music for the yet to be titled project which has Pariyerum Perumal fame Sreedhar roped in as its cinematographer.
