Nawazuddin Siddiqui has always been associated with films in which he always stuns the audiences with his choice of roles. Be it him being a reporter Chand Nawab in the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan, or him playing Dashrath Manjhi in Manjhi – The Mountain Man or even the mercilessly terrorising Ramanna in the film Raman Raghav 2.0 or more recently as Haddi/Harika in the film ‘Haddi’, this man has always pushed the envelope and has always emerged a winner. No wonder then, he is definitely a hot favourite amongst the film makers. One of his most awaited films happens to be Section 108, a thriller of sorts.

The said film (Section 108), had Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra playing the leading roles with Anees Bazmee as the film’s presenter. As per a recent source-based report in Pinkvilla, it has been reported that, Anees Bazmee has now backed out of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's ‘Section 108’. The report stated that, even though the reason for Anees Bazmee’s exit from the film as the presenter is not known, they have parted ways amicably.

As for the film Section 108, the report stated that the film has already wrapped up its first schedule and that the film’s makers were looking to release the film around February next year. The film ‘Section 108’, which is being directed by Rasikh Khan, is said to be revolving around a billionaire who goes missing and who is on the verge of being declared dead soon. As for the characters, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in the role of a lawyer and Regina Cassandra will be seen in the role of an insurance investigating officer.

As for Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he had earlier teamed up with his ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui to make a biopic on the award-winning folk singer Teejan Bai, but, for reasons best known to him, he decided to step down from the project.
