One has to give it to the casting director Mohd Talib who has done an extremely meticulous job of casting in the film. After having worked on many projects as an independent filmmaker and writer, Haddi’s director Akshat Ajay Sharma has really come a long way. His experience of being an Assistant Director in ‘Mukkabaaz’ to being a Creative Assistant and Associate Editor in the Vicky Kaushal-Taapsee Pannu-Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Manmarziyan’ (2018). He also has been a long-time associate and creative collaborator of Anurag Kashyap, which gets reflected in his perfect direction of ‘Haddi’. Hats off to his direction and the very thought of including real life transgenders to act in the film.
