Heart of Stone: Alia Bhatt sets off to shoot her debut Hollywood film starring Gal Gadot

In the midst of her formidable run in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt is expanding her horizons with a Hollywood project as well. Bhatt will make her Hollywood debut with Gal Gadot starrer Heart of Stone. The Gangubai Kathiawadi star recently set off to kick start shooting of the upcoming film.

Bhatt took to her official Instagram handle to share the news, sharing a photo of herself. In the caption of the post, the actress wrote about how nervous she felt as she started her new venture, saying that she felt like a ‘newcomer all over again’. She also requested her fans to wish her luck.

News of Bhatt’s Hollywood debut came out in March this year, on the same day that Gadot unveiled her first look from the film. Heart of Stone also marks Bhatt’s Netflix debut. The star’s recent outing, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, is also available to stream on the platform.

Heart of Stone is touted to be a spy thriller. Gadot essays the role of Rachel Stone. In addition to Bhatt and Gadot, the upcoming film also features Jamie Dornan as the male lead. The film is directed by Tom Harper from a script penned by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Bonnie Curtis Julie Lynn, Gadot and Jaron Varsano are producing the film.

Meanwhile, Bhatt’s upcoming releases include Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Darlings Jasmeet K Reen. In Brahmastra, Bhatt will share the screen with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, while Shefali Shah is her co-star in Darlings. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani reunites her with her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh.
