Hera Pheri 3 has been at the centre of much discussion and debate after Paresh Rawal, one of the lead trio of the franchise, announced that he would be exiting the project, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. This sent the Bollywood cinephiles into a tizzy and there was much conjecture about his exit and what it means to the franchise. However, Paresh Rawal later said that he has returned to the franchise, adding that all the issues have been resolved. The film is set to be directed by Priyadarshan, who had also helmed the much popular first part. Now, Priyadarshan has opened up about the Hera Pheri 3 row, admitting that there was a difference of opinion between the lead actors.

Priyadarshan is a popular filmmaker, who ventured into Bollywood after proving his mettle in the Malayalam industry. Hera Pheri which was released in 2000, was among his early hits in Bollywood. Now, with Hera Pheri 3 making headlines over Paresh Rawal’s exit and his return, Priyadarshan has opened up about the row to HT City.
Pointing out that he resides in South India, Priyadarshan said that when a contract is finalised, he goes to film. He said that he is only committed to Akshay Kumar for this film, as per a report on HT City.
While stating that Suniel, Akshay and Paresh are his friends, Priyadarshan said that there was a difference of opinion between them but that has been resolved. "I only know this much. Not sure if anyone else is involved," Priyadarshan said, as per the report.
Paresh Rawal’s exit triggers Hera Pheri 3 row
When Hera Pheri 3 was announced with the OG cast, and Priyadarshan at its helm, it sparked excitement among the fans. However, things took a turn when Paresh Rawal, who is seen as Baburao in the Hera Pheri films, abruptly announced his exit, which came as a shock to both his co-stars and Bollywood fans. Akshay Kumar, who plays Raju in the film franchise, is also the producer of Hera Pheri 3 and has reportedly taken up the matter in court.
