Ravi Arasu has directed the movie in which Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead

GV Prakash's Ayngaran which was completed long ago has been getting postponed multiple times. The film directed by Ravi Arasu has Mahima Nambiar playing the female lead in it. The latest on the movie is that it will have a theatrical release on April 28.
Billed as a thriller, the project has Hareesh Peradi, Marimuthu, Kaali Venkat, Arul Dass and Aadukalam Narein among others essaying significant characters in it. GV himself has composed music for the film which has cinematography by Saravanan Abimanyu. Raja Mohammed and Durairaj handle editing and art direction respectively for the project.
Earlier last year, there were reports that the movie will have a direct release on SonyLIV in August. A few months ago, it was heard that the film is likely to hit the screens on January 26. However, the movie's release got postponed due to reasons best known to its makers.
Ayngaran was launched in 2016 and it went on floors in 2017. In 2019, it was expected that the movie produced by B Ganesh of Common Man Pictures will release in theatres when producer-distributor Ravinder Chandrasekhar of Libra Productions bagged its theatrical rights.
The movie has GV essaying the role of an engineering graduate who sets out to make the corrupted system in society right. Director Ravi had earlier said that the story witnessed a few changes after GV came on board to play the protagonist. He had approached a few other actors, too.
According to the makers, the hero of the film is someone who is capable enough to pull off the works which five people can do effortlessly. GV, who was last seen in Jail, currently has half-a-dozen projects in his kitty.
