Here's when Kalaiyarasan, Anandhi's long-delayed rom-com, Titanic, will finally hit the screens

Titanic, which has been bankrolled by CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment, is lying in the cans for a long time, The film's teaser was released in 2018, and trailer was unveiled a year ago. Billed as a rom-com, M Janakiraman, a former assistant of Sudha Kongara, has directed the movie which has Kalaiyarasan and Anandhi playing lead roles in it.

A while ago, there were reports about the film skipping theatrical release and going the OTT way. However, CV Kumar has now revealed that the project will be released in theatres. He took to his Twitter page to announce that Titanic will hit the screens on May 6.

The film will take on Arun Vijay's Yaanai and RK Suresh's Visthiran at the box office. While the former's release was announced long ago, the latter joined the date recently. Initially, Vijay Sethupathi's Maamanithan was announced as a theatrical release on the same day, but its makers postponed the release by two weeks.

The story of Titanic revolves around the lives of three youngsters who meet on a train journey. They get to know each other and share details about their respective girlfriends. But they get the shock of their lives after a point which changes their lives forever.

Ashna zaveri, Ragav Vijay, Madhumita, Chetan and Devadarshini play key roles in the project which has director Balaji Mohan and Gayathri appearing in brief roles. Nivas K Prassana has composed music for the film which has cinematography by Ballu.

Radhakrishnan Dhanapal and Ignatious have edited the movie for which Aswin S Ramprasad has helmed art direction. The release of the film was postponed a couple of times. Movie buffs hope that the film which was announced in 2016 will finally make it to theatres on May 6.
