The most-expected update for Silambarasan fans is here. Gautham Menon's Venthu Thanindhathu Kaadu starring the star in the lead will release in theatres on September 15. Produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, the movie marks the actor-filmmaker duo's third collaboration after Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and Acham Enbathu Madamaiyada.

The production house took to their Twitter page to announce the same with a single-shot teaser featuring Silambarasan who is seen sitting inside a room looking confused with his right arm hurt. Actor Teejay Arunasalam is also seen in the one-minute video which looks intriguing, thanks to Siddhartha Nuni's visuals and AR Rahman's background score.

This is the second short teaser released by makers; the team had unveiled its first single a month ago. Siddhi Idnani, who is playing the female lead in the movie, is making her debut in Kollywood. Anthony has handled editing for the project which has lyrics penned by Thamarai.

Lee Whittaker and Yannick Ben have jointly choreographed action scenes for the movie which has dance choreography by Brinda. Radhika Sarathkumar and Neeraj Madhav essay important characters in the project which was primarily shot in Chennai and Mumbai.

Fans of Silambarasan, who are elated over his comeback with Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV), hope that the Gautham directorial will cement his stardom further. Meanwhile, Maha, starring the actor in an extended cameo, is set for a release on July 22 after multiple postponements.

He currently has Pathu Thala and Corona Kumar in his kitty. There are reports that the former, a remake of Sandalwood movie Mufti, might also release later this year. There aren't any updates on the release of Gautham's long-pending projects Varun-starrer Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha and Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram.
