Ravikumar's Ayalaan has been in the making for quite some time. The ambitious project is touted as a one-of-its-kind sci-fi movie which revolves around an alien which reaches earth by mistake. Its journey to the new planet along with a youngster forms the crux of the film's story.
Rakul Preet Singh essays the female lead in the project which has Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Bhanupriya and Bala Saravanan playing prominent roles in it. AR Rahman is scoring music for the movie; a single from the film Vera Level Sago was released a while ago.
According to a source in the know, Ayalaan will make it to the screens on Deepavali this year. The post-production of the movie is happening at a brisk pace; a lion's share of the film involves CG sequences and we hear that its makers are leaving no stone unturned to offer a unique experience to movie buffs.
If everything goes well as per plans, Ayalaan will release on the biggest festival season for Kollywood and might lock horns with Ajith's AK 61 (tentative title) at the box office. The movie is director Ravikumar's second film after Indru Netru Naalai which also was a sci-fi project.
Sivakarthikeyan's next release is Cibi Chakaravarthi's Don which is hitting the screens on May 13. His bilingual project with Anudeep, titled SK 20 (tentative title), is expected to release in theatres in August.
Fans of Sivakarthikeyan are excited to the core as their favourite star might have three releases this year. After completing SK 20, he will be joining Rajkumar Periyasamy of Rangoon fame for a project which will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. The details of the movie's cast and crew are expected to be announced soon.
