Here's when SJ Suryah's long-delayed, fun-filled film Kadamaiyai Sei will hit the screens

Kadamaiyai Sei, starring SJ Suryah, was announced as a theatrical release which was supposed to hit the screens on June 24. A flurry of movies were slated to release on the same day, but more than half of them were postponed owing to lack of enough theatres.

The makers have now revealed that the long-delayed project will release in theatres on August 12. Vikram's much-expected action thriller Cobra's release has been postponed, and this is currently one of the widely-discussed news in the Kollywood industry. The unexpected postponement of the big ticket film has become a boon for other long-pending Tamil projects now.

The other day, Prabhu Deva's Bagheera, too, announced its arrival on August 11, cashing in on Cobra's indefinite postponement. Aamir Khan's much-expected Bollywood flick had already announced its release on August 11. Kollywood movie lovers are waiting to know if more projects will arrive around the date.

Kadamaiyai Sei, directed by Venkatt Ragavan, has Yashika Anand playing the female lead in it, while Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Vincent Ashokan and Charles Vinodh will be seen essaying crucial characters in it. TR Ramesh and S Zahir Hussain have jointly produced the film which has music composition by Arun Raj.

Pradeep Dinesh has helmed stunt choreography for the movie which has Vinoth Rathinasamy and Srikanth NB handling cinematography and editing respectively. The film's story revolves around an ambitious security guard whose life turns topsy-turvy after he befriends a couple of unknown people.  

Kadamaiyai Sei is Suryah's second movie to release this year after Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Don which hit the screens a couple of months ago. It is also his second project as the protagonist to release in the pandemic era after Selvaraghavan's Nenjam Marappathillai.
