For the last few days, social media has been abuzz with speculations regarding the trailer release of Valimai. Perhaps no other Tamil movie has garnered so much attention on social media ever since its announcement. The lack of update on the movie for a long time has only escalated the hype surrounding it.

The makers started unveiling surprises from the Ajith-starrer a few months ago, which included two singles and a two promo videos. There has been palpable excitement over the film's trailer release from the last few days among Kollywood film lovers.

Though it was believed that the much awaited trailer will be out only on New Year, several sources say that the three-minute video will be released by the makers on December 30. It is also expected that the makers will announce the official release date, too, along with the trailer.

After the Instagram post of Huma Qureshi, who plays a crucial role in the movie, went viral, fans of Ajith and other film lovers have almost got a confirmation that Valimai will hit the screens on January 13. It's just a matter of time before they make it official.

Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music for the movie which has been directed and produced by Vinoth and Boney Kapoor respectively. Kartikeya, Yogi Babu, Gurbani Judge, Sumithra, Yogi Babu and Achyuth Kumar also play key characters in the project which has Nirav Shah and Vijay Velukutty handling cinematography and editing respectively.

The actor-director-producer trio (Ajith-Vinoth-Boney) will be teaming up again after the release of Valimai. According to a source, the team's next project, unlike Valimai, will deal with a relevant social cause. The film is expected to go on floors earlier next year.
