Here's when the second single, Annana Thaalaattum, from Dhanush's Maaran will be released

Karthick Naren's Maaran was announced as a direct-to-OTT release earlier this year. Despite reports doing the rounds that the action flick will release on February, the makers are yet to come up with an official update on its release date. The first single from the movie, Polladha Ulagam, was unveiled a month ago.

On Valentine's Day, the team released a still featuring its lead actors Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan, leaving their fans elated. Now, they have come up with another update. The second single, Annana Thaalaattum, will be released on February 19. GV Prakash, the music director of the project, tweeted, "My next single … The heart-warming second single #AnnanaThaalaattum from #Maaran is releasing tomorrow ! #Maaran coming soon on @disneyplusHSTam (sic)."

The announcement also had a poster along with it which features Dhanush and Smruthi Venkat in it. The duo will be seen playing brother and sister in the film, and the song is expected to revolve around their relationship. Apart from these actors, Samuthirakani and Mahendran, too, will be seen playing key roles in the film.

Vivekanand Santhosham and Prasanna GK have handled Maaran's cinematography and editing respectively. Produced by Sathya Jyothi FIlms, Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan have bankrolled the movie which will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

 Suhas, Sharfu and Vivek have written the screenplay and dialogues for the project along with director Karthick. Though there were rumours doing the rounds that last year that Karthick is planning to opt out of the movie, the makers denied it.

This is Dhanush's third direct OTT release after Jagame Thandhiram (streaming on Netflix) and Atrangi Re (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). Mari Selvaraj's Karnan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) was his last theatrical release. Mithran Jawahar's Thiruchitrambalam is expected to be the actor's next theatrical release.
