Mysskin's Pisasu 2 has piqued the curiousity of movie buffs ever since the project was announced. The first look of the film, which stars Andrea Jeremiah in the lead, was unveiled last year. The makers had released their first single, Uchanthala Regaiyile, too, a few months ago. Sid Sriram has lent voice for the melody song, written by Kabilan and composed by Karthik Raja.
The team has now announced an update on its much-awaited teaser. Mysskin took to Twitter to post a new poster of the film and revealed that the movie's teaser will be out at 5 pm on April 29.
Though the project has been titled Pisasu 2, the filmmaker had clarified earlier that it has nothing to do with his earlier outing Pisaasu (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) which was released in 2014. One of the highlights of Pisasu 2, apart from Andrea's presence, is said to be the cameo by Vijay Sethupathi.
Poorna and Santhosh Pratap are other actors who will be seen essaying pivotal characters in the movie which has been produced by T Muruganantham under Rockfort Entertainment. Siva Santhakumar has cranked the camera for the film which has editing by Keerthana.
A few weeks after the announcement of the project, Mysskin said that Andrea is likely to bag a National Award for Best Female Actor for her performance in the movie. This has elevated the hype for the film which already has been riding on high expectations. Pisasu 2 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The director's last outing was Pyscho (streaming on Netflix) which was released in 2020. The horror movie, which starred Udhayanidhi, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles, was one of the few commercially and critically accepted Tamil movies of the year.
