Here's when the trailer of GV Prakash, Gautham Menon's action flick Selfie will be released

It is known that GV Prakash and filmmaker-turned-actor Gautham Menon are joining hands for debutant director Mathi Maran's Selfie. Produced by Kalaippuli Thanu under V Creations, along with D Sabareesh, the first look poster of the project was revealed more than a couple of months ago. 

The team has now announced that the movie's trailer will be unveiled on December 2. Selfie has GV and Gautham playing the protagonist and antagonist respectively. Vishnu Rangasamy handles the project's cinematography while editing has been done by S Ilayaraja. Bigil fame Varsha Bollamma has been roped in to play the female lead in the film. 

Billed as an action thriller, the movie is said to revolve around the life of an engineering student who faces a slew of unexpected hurdles because of the antagonist. GV had earlier expressed happiness in associating with senior producer Kalaippuli Thanu for the movie.   

According to director Mathi Maran, who was an assistant to Vetri Maaran, Selfie touches upon the four-year life of an engineering student. The movie's first look had Gautham Menon seen walking past a few students amidst a college backdrop. The project's tagline reads "Confessions of an Engineer." GV himself has composed music for Selfie.

Thangadurai and Vagai Chandrasekhar among others play important characters in the film, the first look of which was unveiled by Vetri Maaran. The movie brings Gautham and GV together for the first time. 

The former was last seen as an actor in Mohan G's Rudra Thandavam and has Simbu-starrer Venthu Thaninthathu Kaadu in his kitty. On the other hand, the latter has Jail and Bachelor ready for release this month.
