Director Adhik Ravichandran's Bagheera evoked curiosity among Tamil film lovers from the time the project was announced, thanks to its catchy title and Prabhudeva's scary looks in the posters. The movie had hit the headlines later when the makers revealed that it will have six female leads, namely Amyra Dastur, Sakshi Agarwal, Janani Iyer, Remya Nambeesan, Sanchita Shetty and Gayathrie.
The film's intriguing teaser unveiled by Dhanush, which featured Prabhudeva in the role of a serial killer, was released earlier this year. The actor-filmmaker-choreographer is essaying a never-before-seen character with grey shades for the first time. Sonia Agarwal, Nasser, Pragathi, Manikandan and Baba Bhaskar are others who play important roles in the movie.
The first single of the film, Psycho Raja, was released a few months ago. Now, the makers have revealed that the trailer of the mystery thriller will be out on October 8. The project, which was announced a couple of years ago, went on floors a month later. Though the movie was initially planned as a theatrical release in May 2020, the first lockdown made the makers postpone their plans indefinitely. They are yet to come up with a release date for Bagheera.
Abinandhan Ramanujam has cranked the camera for the project which has music by Ganesan Sekar and editing by Ruben. The film will mark Prabhudeva and veteran dance choreographer Raju Sundaram coming together after a long time.
Amyra Dastur, who plays one of the female leads in it, had said earlier that the film features a fantasy sequence in which she will be seen shaking a leg with Prabhu. According to her, the sequence will be one of the highlights of the movie. Meanwhile, Prabhudeva has Oomai Vizhigal, Poikkal Kuthirai and the long-delayed Pon Manickavel in his kitty awaiting releases.
