Thu Pa Saravanan's Veeramae Vaagai Soodum was announced as a theatrical release on January 26. However, earlier this month, speculations did the rounds about the Vishal-starrer hitting the screens on Pongal, along with Ajith's Valimai. But Valimai got postponed owing to the rise in Omicron cases and makers of the Saravanan-directorial stood by their initial plans.
The team has now announced the date of its trailer release. Its action-packed teaser was unveiled three weeks ago, offering a glimpse into Vishal's character and a few dare-devil stunt sequences, something the actor is known for.
The actor, who has also produced the movie under Vishal Film Factory, has taken to his social media page to announce that the film's much-awaited trailer will be dropped on January 19. The trailer of Saamanyudu, its Telugu version, too, will be released along with it. The makers are planning to release both the versions in movie halls on January 26.
Dimple Hayathi plays the female lead in the project which has Yogi Babu and Baburaj among others essaying important roles in it. Kavin Raj and NB Srikanth have handled the movie's cinematography and editing respectively while Yuvan Shankar has composed music.
Vishal will be seen essaying the role of a common man who takes up a social cause when he gets provoked. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum marks the directorial debut of Saravanan who made headlines earlier with his short film Edhu Thevaiyo Adhuvey Dharmam.
Even as the makers are busy with the final works related to the project, the shooting of Vishal's Laththi, being directed by A Vinoth Kumar, is currently going on in full swing in Hyderabad and Chennai. Sunainaa will be seen playing the female lead in the film.
