Here's why Extraction 2 star Chris Hemsworth wants to work with Jr NTR, Ram Charan

Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth is the latest to join the growing list of high-profile fans of Telugu superstars Ram Charan and Jr NTR. In a recent interview, Chris shared his admiration for the duo, while sharing his thoughts on director SS Rajamouli's global hit RRR. 

Calling the movie "incredible", he heaped praises on the performance of Ram Charan and Tarak. "I just watched RRR recently, and I thought the film was incredible. Ram Charan and Jr NTR are amazing, so if I was lucky to work with them, that would be fantastic," Chris told a news channel recently.

Before Chris, Hollywood's legendary filmmaker James Cameron also raved about RRR and the performances of the actors in it. Particularly, he found the acting of Ram Charan very appealing. 

"And the journey that you go on, especially understanding the Ram character, which was very challenging, and then you finally understand what's going on in his head, and it's heartbreaking and I just think it's a triumph. And I told Mr Rajamouli this in person recently," Cameron said earlier. 

RRR achieved unprecedented global fame after it made its debut on Netflix last year. The movie was endorsed by the who's who of Hollywood soon after its OTT release and added more power to its global popularity. Perceived as a strong take on anti-colonialist sentiments by the Westerners, the movie caught the imagination of movie-buffs across the world and it propelled Ram Charan and Jr NTR to global stardom. 

RRR went on to create history by bagging many prestigious international awards including a Grammy and an Oscar. Composer MM Keeravani's dance anthem Naatu Naatu became a global rage. 

Meanwhile, Chris is now waiting for the release of Extraction 2. The sequel to Netflix's hit action drama will premiere on the platform on June 16.
