It was announced by Dulquer Salmaan a day ago that Mammootty and Mahesh Babu will unveil the Tamil and Telugu trailers of Hey Sinamika, starring the former, along with Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari. Posting the two-and-a-half minute video from his Twitter account, Mammootty tweeted, "Unveiling the official trailer of #HeySinamika ! Best wishes to @BrindhaGopal1 & the entire team (sic)."

Mahesh Babu tweeted, "Happy to launch the trailer of @BrindhaGopal1's directorial debut #HeySinamika. Best wishes to the entire team!! In cinemas from March 3rd (sic)."

The trailer revolves around the story of a husband and wife, Yaazhan and Mouna, played by Dulquer and Aditi respectively. After spending quality time with each other, the couple calls it quits, though Mouna is still in love with her husband. Yaazhan then becomes close to Malarvizhi (Kajal).

Though Mouna needs Yaazhan back, the latter has moved on and is planning to start a relationship with Malarvizhi. Will Mouna be able to win her love back?

The romantic drama directed by Brinda will hit the screens on March 3 in Tamil and Telugu. The initial plan of the makers was to release the film on February 14, 2021, but the pandemic played spoilsport with their plans. Preetha Jayaraman and Radha Sridhar have handled the movie's cinematography and editing respectively.

Govind Vasanth has composed music for the movie, and three songs have been released by the team recently. The first look of the project was revealed by Suriya-Jyotika, Nagarjuna-Amala, Fahadh Faasil-Nazriya and Rana Daggubati. Produced by Jio Studios, the movie has Yogi Babu, Nakshatra Nagesh, Mirchi Vijay, Thapa, Koushick and Abhishek Kumar among others playing crucial roles.

The trailer ends with a funny note when Dulquer asks Aditi if she knows the reason behind AR Rahman composing the popular 'Hey Sinamika' song from O Kadhal Kanmani in a peculiar way.
