Hi Nanna team is leaving no stone unturned with its promotional campaign, spreading the word about the film across the Telugu states with zest. Nani, Mrunal Thakur and Baby Kiara play key roles in the film, directed by Shouryuv, a former associate of RRR writer Vijayendra Prasad. The team came together for a musical night in Hyderabad yesterday.

One of the major attractions for the promotional event was Nani taking to the stage as a singer. Crowds were cheering as the actor crooned his hit tracks - Kammani Nee Prema (the remixed version in Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu), Adiga Adiga (Ninnu Kori). The sportive gesture won over his fans, who enthusiastically filmed his renditions on their devices.

This is not the first time a film involving Hesham Abdul Wahab is celebrating its musical night. The popularity of Kushi’s songs also prompted its makers to organise an exclusive event to perform the tracks in front of a live audience. A similar event for Hi Nanna indicates the impact he has made as a composer so early in Telugu cinema.

All tracks in Hi Nanna’s album have offered something fresh and new to listeners, including the catchy Samayama, the calming Ammadi, the foot-tapping Odiyamma and a melodious Gaaju Bomma. The decision to rope in Dhruv Vikram and Shruti Haasan (along with Chinmayi Sripada) for Odiyamma is turning out to be a bonus for the film.

Priyadarshi, Angad Bedi, Jayaram, Supriya Tulaskar and others also essay key roles in Hi Nanna, produced by Vyra Entertainments. Sanu John Varghese, who worked on Nani’s earlier films Jersey and Shyam Singha Roy, is the cinematographer. Praveen Antony is the editor. Dil Raju has acquired the Nizam area rights of the film. Hi Nanna will lock horns with Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man (Dec 8) next weekend.
