Hi: Nayanthara and Kavin set to give a ‘sweet surprise’ as their family entertainer confirms April release

Hi, the upcoming Tamil film starring Kavin and Nayanthara is in the making and we have reported how the film will be heading for a release soon. Now, the makers have come with a fresh update, with Hi set for April release. A new poster was released to reveal the update, while also teasing something new coming up for the fans.

Hi: What is the new update of Nayanthara-Kavin film?

We had earlier reported that Nayanthara and Kavin will be starring in the upcoming film called Hi. The film has been in the making for a while. On Wednesday, the makers announced that the romantic drama will get a theatrical opening in April. A new poster featuring the leads was released on social media, with an update that a 'sweet surprise' is on the way. With the main film yet to be certified, the makers are yet to announce a release date.

Hi is directed by lyricist Vishnu Edavan with music scored by Jen Martin. It also marks the first time Kavin and Nayanthara are pairing up for a film and onscreen collaboration. Kavin, who had faced box office failure with his last film Mask, will be playing the lead with Nayanthara as the female lead.

What else do we know about Hi?

Apart from Kavin and Nayanthara, the film also stars K Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika, Satyan, Adithya Kathir, Qureshi, and several others in important roles. Marking his directorial debut, Vishnu Edavan, had previously worked as an associate director to Lokesh Kanagaraj on films like Kaithi, Master, and Vikram.

Touted to be a family entertainer with romance element, Hi will feature a total of seven songs. The technical crew includes cinematographer Rajesh Shukla and editor Philomin Raj. Jen Martin, who has worked in Kavin's Kiss and Bloody Beggar, is scoring music. ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Hi and will premiere on OTTplay Premium as well.
