During his latest appearance on Farah Khan's vlog, actor-composer Himesh Reshammiya discussed the creative process behind his song Badass Ravikumar and provided entertaining anecdotes about Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.
When asked about his inspiration for Badass Ravikumar, Himesh explained that the character in the film stems from childhood memories about Indian cinema. Whenever he has included songs from the '90s on his music albums, they've always sounded great. That being said, he gets the impression that the retro aesthetic is still very much loved. "Logic, optional," was the film's finest line, and most viewers agreed. Relaxing and entertaining films are his favourites.
In response to Sajid Khan's request that Aamir tell his narrative as a producer—a request that had some bearing on Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak—Himesh lauded the superstar for his work. The ace composer simply adores Aamir and his film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was absolutely fantastic. When Himesh underwent the film's trial in 1988, many individuals expressed doubts about its effectiveness. He tried to convince his dad that this movie would shatter box office records, but he still didn't buy it. Himesh gained his father's trust and the film became a smashing success. Next, he loaned him some cash so he could make a series.
Almost signed Aamir for a film, he continued. The superstar was in talks with Himesh's dad about it, but nothing came of it, and instead they signed Salman Khan. He got his break, but that film never got made. Although Salman was not involved with his dad's film, the superstar did recall his music and included it in Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Due to the difficulty of creating the title track, Sohail Khan also gave his approval to that song. Already, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya from Mughal-E-Azam was a smashing success. Things transpired after that phrase was coined. Without that break, Himesh would still be confined to series. First, he worked as a producer and Salman gave him the opportunity to do music, but he was too engrossed in series before.
Meanwhile, the box office total for the Himesh Reshammiya–starring Badass Ravikumar in India was below Rs. 10 crores.
