Musician-turned-actor Hip Hop Tamizha, who was last seen in Anbarivu, had recently wrapped up the shooting of Veeran. He has now confirmed his collaboration with director Karthik Venugopalan who made his debut with Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja in 2019. The untitled project will be bankrolled by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International.

According to a report in TOI, the movie is touted as a fun-filled entertainer which will be set against the backdrop of a school. The shooting of the film will begin in a few days in Chennai; a lion's share of the project is likely to be shot in Erode, though.

Hip Hop Tamizha will be essaying the role of a physical education teacher in the movie which is expected to touch upon a few relevant issues faced by children today. The treatment of the screenplay, however, will be in a jovial manner. Its story revolves around a few incidents that follow after his character joins a school.

He himself will be composing music for the yet-to-be-titled movie which will have Madhesh Manickam handling cinematography and Prasanna GK in charge of editing. The makers are expected to make an official announcement on the film's cast and other crew members soon.

The film marks the actor-musician's seventh project as an actor. The release date of his next, Veeran, is yet to be announced. He had revealed to us earlier that the project will be his biggest ever in terms of scale and grandeur.

Meanwhile, Vels Film International, which recently celebrated the success of Silambarasan-starrer Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu, is getting ready with Gokul's Singapore Saloon, starring RJ Balaji in the lead. The film's quirky first look was unveiled a few days ago.
