Director Sailesh Kolanu had come up with a video the other day to explain about the "HIT universe" which he has created. HIT, starring Vishwak Sen in the lead, was released in 2020. The filmmaker is now ready with the second installment, titled HIT: The 2nd Case aka HIT 2.

Adivi Sesh headlines the project which is based on a story which is set against the backdrop of Vizag, unlike the first installment which was set in Hyderabad. Sesh is Krishna Dev aka KD, a happy-go-lucky cop who is also a motormouth, in the film.

He has been posted in Vizag and is asked to report to his senior, played by Rao Ramesh. He has a gala time in the city with his girlfriend, essayed by Meenakshi Chaudhary. KD believes that Vizag is free of serious crimes, and hence, there is nothing wrong in leading a chilled out life.

But to his shock, he comes across the spine-chilling murder of a girl at a restaurant. How he takes up the case that drives him crazy forms the rest of the story. The movie is set for a theatrical release on December 2.

Adivi Sesh released the trailer from his social media page with the caption "WARNING : Not for Children". Garry Bh and S Manikandan have handled editing and cinematography for the film respectively. Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali and Komalee Prasad are others who play important roles in HIT 2.

MM Sree Lekha and Suresh Bobbili have composed songs while John Stewart Eduri is in charge of background score. Sunil Rodrigues, Venkat, Naba and Real Sathish have choreographed action scenes for the movie. HIT 2 is Adivi Sesh's second outing this year after Major.
