How is that for a Monday, a Telugu and English indie film, shot completely in the US, made noise at select theatres across the globe this October. The film, marking the directorial debut of software professional Sripal Sama, featured Kaushik Ghantasala, Keegan Guy, Satya Yamini, Megan Barlow, Elester Latham, Candido Carter in key roles. Sandhya Sama and Radhika Srinivas bankrolled the film under Nizam Talkies.
Nearly six-seven weeks after its theatrical release in the last week of October, How Is That For A Monday is gearing up for its OTT premiere later this December. An official date would be announced shortly.
The story of the crime drama centres on Shyam, a software engineer, who has just lost his job in the US. A group of henchmen is after a dementia patient Christopher Carter and unexpectedly lands at Shyam’s residence. Where is Shyam’s life headed? Watch the film to know more.
OTTplay.com's critic in his review called it a refreshing indie film with an innovative screenplay that leaves one with a warm, fuzzy feeling. “Look beyond the crimes and the thrills, the film is ultimately a plea for compassion and suggests a ‘take it easy’ approach to life. Kaushik Ghantasala is a picture of confidence in a meaty, well-written role. Sripal Sama makes a promising directorial debut,” the verdict reads.
Scott Young, Robert Malcolm Cumming, Steve Delgado, Brock Horwitz, Trevor Powers, Sabrina Ariss, Joseph Covino, Sai Karthik Movva form the supporting cast of the film. Dawn Vincent scored the music for the drama which had cinematography by Rahul Biruly. Raghavender Vuppuganti is the editor. Sripal Sama and Sai Praneeth Gouravaraju co-wrote the screenplay.
