Hridayapoorvam director Sathyan Anthikad on how he sensed Fahadh Faasil would be a huge success

Malayalam's acclaimed director Sathyan Anthikad is all set for his next directorial, Hridayapoorvam, to hit the big screen on August 28. Meanwhile, he discussed why he had predicted Fahadh Faasil would succeed in his acting career from the start in an interview with Kaumudy.

Sathyan Anthikad on Fahadh Faasil

The director stated that he had been struck by Fahadh's ability from the start and had discussed this with his father and renowned director, Faasil, on the sets where they collaborated. "On the set of No. 1 Snehatheeram Bangalore North, I recall talking to Faasil about this. I encouraged Faasil to make Fahadh act because of his attractive looks, eyes, and mannerisms," he remarked. 

Later, Sathyan summoned Fahadh for a small role in Kadha Thudarunnu after admiring his performance in Ranjith's anthology, Kerala Cafe. They eventually abandoned this idea, though, because Sathyan believed he should play a significant role rather than make a brief appearance. "Later, I approached him for Oru Indian Pranayakadha and he performed Aymanam Siddharthan brilliantly," he said. Oru Indian Paranayakadha is available to stream on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium.

Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam to release soon

Mohanlal plays the lead part in this family entertainer, along with Sangeeth Prathap, Malavika Mohanan, Siddique, Sangita Madhavan Nair, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan. Recent sources indicate that Meera Jasmine will make a brief appearance and that Basil Joseph will play a significant role in this film. This, in addition to its other captivating qualities, has raised anticipation among film enthusiasts and Mohanlal fans for this Onam release. The film's screenplay, written by Sonu T P, is based on a story written by Akhil Sathyan, Anthikad's son.

Meanwhile, Fahadh's next Malayalam film, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, will also have a theatrical release during this Onam. The comedy film, which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lal and Vinay Forrt, will debut on August 29, a day later than Hridayapoorvam. It is anticipated that both of these films will provide viewers in theatres with an enjoyable and upbeat experience.
