Hrithik Roshan and Atlee project not possible? Here's what went wrong

Hrithik Roshan is all set for the War 2 release, co-starring Jr. NTR. A clip of War 2 will be out on May 20. Apart from this, Roshan also made his fans excited with the news of him directing Krrish 4. Amid this, reports revealed details about the 2024 meeting between Hrithik and ace filmmaker Atlee. Is a collaboration on the cards or things did not materialize?

Bollywood Hungama reported that Hrithik Roshan and Atlee had a 'secret' meeting in the second half of 2024, and it was before Atlee's Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan, was released.

A source told the entertainment portal, "Both have high respect for each other’s work and they had a long conversation about it and other areas of life. Hrithik Roshan and Atlee did express the desire to work with each other."

The source also added, "However, they realized that it won’t be possible in the near future. It was a time when Atlee was working on his next venture while Hrithik, at that point, was all set to gear up for the pre-production of Krrish 4."

The source also mentioned that both Krrish 4 and A22xA6 are high-profile, time-consuming films and hence, for the next two years, they’ll be fully invested in it. However, they decided to communicate and hoped for cooperation later, if everything worked out.

War 2 is one of the most awaited films and Hrithik Roshan took to his Instagram story to send a cryptic birthday message to his co-star Jr. NTR, whose actual birthday is May 20. Roshan wrote, "Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me, you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready?"

Fans are also excited about the dance face-off between Hrithik and Jr. NTR in War 2. As per reports, the face-off will deliver the most memorable cinematic experience of the year.

Meanwhile, the film is written by Abbas Tyrewala and directed by Ayan Mukerji. The YRF's spy universe film will hit theatres on August 14, 2025.
