Malayalam film, Hunt, starring Bhavana in the lead role, is now streaming online. The horror thriller, which is directed by Shaji Kailas, is available on Manorama Max from May 23.
Due to a mixed reception, Hunt, which debuted in theatres in August of last year, did not do well in box office. Nonetheless, many people applauded Bhavana's performance. Manorama Max was said to have acquired the film's digital streaming rights previously. Later, though, it was revealed that the film would be available on the platform starting at 12 am on May 23. In the meantime, Maranamass, Ouseppinte Osiyathu, and Bromance are among the other Malayalam films which had a OTT release this month.
The film may not have all the compelling elements that audiences might anticipate from a Shaji Kailas directorial, but it is still worth watching this week for those who enjoy a horror thriller once in a while, according to OTTplay's review. The director's movies are being revisited because of their gripping plots and striking performances. Shaji Kailas's well-known films include Red Chillies, Natturajavu, and The K ing.
Dr Keerthy, a postgraduate medical student majoring in forensic science, is the lead character of Hunt. She works on a case concerning a woman who was murdered many years ago. But supernatural incidents start happening to her, she discovers that she is connected to the victim and the college she studys. Keerthy meets the victim's close ones during the investigation and learns the truth about a few other murders. The primary plot points of the film are her relationship to the victim and the murder's backdrop.
In this horror thriller, Chandhunadh, Aditi Ravi, Anu Mohan, Dain Davis, Ajmal Ameer, and Renji Panikkar all have significant roles. Nikhil Anand has penned screenplay for the film, which is bankrolled by K Radhakrishnan under the banner of Jayalakshmi Films.
