The team of Jai Bhim has been surprising movie buffs with back to back updates. After unveiling its teaser, two singles and trailers in Tamil and Hindi, the makers have now released a dialogue promo. The 40-second video begins with Guru Somasundaram, a lawyer challenging the character played by Suriya, who will also be seen as a lawyer in the movie.
The former tells him, "Don't assume that you can easily win the case out of sympathy just because you use words like human rights and tribes. Luck won't be on your side always." To which a determined Suriya replies, "I don't believe in luck, I believe in truth."
The actor, who plays a real life lawyer in the movie, is then seen uttering the lines, "Law is a very powerful weapon. What is important is who are we trying to protect using the law." The story of the movie, which is set in 1995, is based on a sensational case which lawyer K Chandru (now retired Madras High Court Judge) took up more than two decades ago.
Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose and Manikandan will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the movie which has music by Sean Roldan, editing by Philomin Raj and cinematography SR Kathir.
Jai Bhim, which will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 2, has Suriya playing a lawyer for the first time in his career. Interestingly, Ponmagal Vandhal, which had Jyotika essaying the role of a lawyer, also had a premiere on the same OTT platform.
Both the projects were produced by 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd, owned by Suriya and Jyotika. The production house had released one film each in September and October. After Jai Bhim, they will release their fourth consecutive project, Oh My Dog, in December.
